Two sides already assured of European football next season come face-to-face at the Reale Arena as Real Sociedad take on Atletico Madrid in their final league fixtures of the campaign.
Sociedad secured Europa League qualification thanks to a 2-0 victory at eighth-placed Real Betis last time out but victory against the Colchoneros has frequently alluded them, with La Real winning just one of their last 11 meetings in La Liga.
Atletico meanwhile will once again play in the Champions League next season however they have had real troubles with consistency domestically. Diego Simeone’s men were beaten in their last league fixture (4-1 at home to Osasuna), while they have also lost four of their last ten on the road in the league.
However, Atletico have long been the scourge of Sociedad and were victories in the reverse fixture back in October. Each of the last six league meetings have seen both sides find the back of the net and the same could be expected at the weekend, with out prediction leaning towards a tight 2-1 victory for the visitors.
