There are all the reasons to believe that Arsenal are not extremely keen on cup when they have the Premiership title to win, but the thing is that even with the worst possible lineup Arsenal will be here a huge favourite to win over Oxford who are some 55 positions below Arsenal, and who have important attacking absentees too.
Marcus Browne, Sam Baldock and Kyle Joseph, who is their next best scorer with 5 goals in 15 games.
Oxford have had a poor season, they are 15th in League One with with 29 points from 24 games, and they are tightly in a relegation fight. Surely, meeting Arsenal is the highlight of the season and they will fight with teeth and nails. Unfortunately the class just is not there.
More importantly, as Arsenal of this season is very much a creation of Arteta it does not mean much that there is change of personnel on the pitch, as they all good enough individuals to follow the chosen style, and there is huge competition for starting-11 positions so I am not expecting any lazyness from the chosen lineup, whatever it may.
Obviously those players who have played the most get a deserved rest, but as Oxford are not going to create anything here it does not matter who the keeper or defenders are. This is more about how midfielders succeed.
The highest valued players at Oxford; winger Murphy from Cardiff, midfielder Bate from Leeds U21 side.. and so on.
As it is a big handicap and a cup game against a still professional if small club there is always a chance for not winning it,so this is definitely not a big bet or sure money, but I very surprised if Arsenal fail to win by at least 2 goals so you can also think covering this into a -2 goal moneyline kind of a bet, but I stick with this one.
