Los Rojiblancos are having a nightmare campaign in this term of La Liga. They won only 3 of 17 league matches so far in the season and currently sit second from bottom with no more than 15 points collected.
The latest failure for Jorge Sampaoli’s men came seven days ago when they lost 2-1 away at Girona, despite having an early lead through Tanguy Nianzou.
Sevilla did rebound on Tuesday evening, beating Alaves 0-1 on the road in the last 16 round of Copa del Rey.
