Clermont will continue their difficult schedule on Saturday evening when they play host to Marseille in the 23rd round of Ligue 1.
The team led by Pascal Gastien suffered their maiden loss in the last six league games last weekend when they fell 0-2 at home to Monaco.
It was a one-way street for Les Monegasques on the occasion as they bagged two early goals within the opening 13 minutes of the affair at Stade Gabriel Montpied. Clermont have barely challenged them in attack ever since.
Gastien’s troops will try and produce a stronger resistance here against Marseille who do come into the match as pretty clear favorites despite last round’s slip-up.
