FC Koln produced one of their best performances of the season last week and that performance takes them closer to the top half of the table. They are in very good momentum at the moment and only few teams can compete with FC Koln. Based on current form I don't see how Stuttgart can beat FC Koln but they are playing at home so their odds are also quite low. Irrespective of the odds I am going with an away win or draw in favour of FC Koln for two main motives:
[1] FC Koln Has not lost a single game since after the World Cup international break. They have been in an electrifying run since December last year and I don't see how Stuttgart can end their unbeaten streak. FC Koln's fascinating game against Bayern Munich is enough to convince me to back them for a win or draw in this game. They held Bayern to a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena last month. Only a few teams can boast of getting these results where a side like Barcelona lost this season. On the other hand, Stuttgart has not won a game in the Bundesliga since November 2022. Their only victory came in the DFB Pokal cup against Paderborn.
[2] Team quality and technicality is another reason why I'm backing FC Koln to get a good result against Stuttgart. FC Koln invested in their squad a lot last season and it's no surprise that they can compete with teams like Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt. The Billy Goats have about three different top scorers for their team and there's enough quality to produce magic from anywhere on the pitch. It will be very hard for Stuttgart to contain FC Koln as they have so many good individual players and any of them can turn this game in their favour.
FC Koln has not lost a Bundesliga game since November while Stuttgart have not won a Bundesliga game since November. Koln has a better team and better playing style than Stuttgart and it's easy to see why I'm going with an away win or draw in favour of FC Koln.
