Sevilla head to Netherlands with a big win in the first leg. They practically have one foot in the round of 16 already and PSV Eindhoven has a mountain to climb against Sevilla. Jorge Sampaoli has worked magic for the Andalusians and PSV Eindhoven can testify to that. The odds on a Sevilla victory is quite high and rightly so as even a draw would guarantee their qualification. I'm inclined towards an away win or draw for Sevilla for the following reasons;
[1] Sevilla is way better than PSV Eindhoven as a team. The three nil win last week is enough to make me edge towards a win or draw for Sevilla. They have been playing very well this year and the only team to have beaten Sevilla in the last five games is FC Barcelona. The Andalusians have given punters very exciting results despite being tagged as underdogs, with three wins and a draw from those outings. Sevilla was denied a third consecutive win over the weekend in a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano. Playing away to Rayo Vallecano is always a tough prospect for any team and Sevilla went there and did exceptionally well. I have no doubts that they can get a win or draw against PSV Eindhoven.
[2] Sevilla has a better history in this competition than PSV Eindhoven. No team has won more Europa League titles than Sevilla in the last decade and with Jorge Sampaoli returning to the side, they are an entirely different team to the one that started this season. PSV Eindhoven is on the verge of elimination in this tie after their shambolic result in the first leg, that result didn't help matters for them as they fell to a 2-2 draw against FC Utrecht in the league last weekend. There is little the Dutch side can do against a renewed Sevilla team and this should go in favour of the Spanish side.
Against the odds, Sevilla delivered in the first leg and they have much less work to do to reach the last 16. They look unstoppable at the moment especially against a team like PSV Eindhoven, and I'm predicting this game to go on favor of Sevilla with an away win or draw.
