After a series of very difficult games for the Belgian champion, it's time for some easy games. Club Brugge put up a much better overall showing in a 2-0 win over Gent last weekend as Scott Parker claimed just the second win of his tenure. The team played with control and never looked like conceding, dominating the whole 90 minutes. Club Brugge is now aiming to string two wins together and start building some momentum when heading to Oostende, a team that has been in bad form for months. The good news for the visitors is that Onyedika, a very important midfield player, is coming back. On the other side, the home team had decent chances at Genk last week but only when the game was already over and a 3-0 loss at the final whistle was a logical outcome given the gap in quality between the top and the second from bottom sides in the standings. It left 'Kustboys' six points off safety and they looked increasingly doomed as their winless run stretched. They host Club Brugge in a derby game and will look to finally bring some joy to their fans and at least play with more purpose, but a very tough job awaits them against a team that looks to improve its form before the most important games. Interesting fact, Club Brugge won the last 11 games against the home team?! Club Brugge played a very good game against Gent in the last round and I think they should have no problem beating the home team, which will probably play in the second division next season.
