Union de Santa Fe didn't make the intercontinental cups last year after their average showing in the league but they have gone on to be very active in the transfer market and they are one of the strong teams in Argentina this season. Rosario central suffered a heavy defeat last week and it remains to see if they recover from that game. I am keeping the style to go in favor of Union de Santa Fe, or end in a draw for the following reasons;
[1] Rosario Central started the season well but they have faded off as games went by and they are really not in good form coming into this game while Union de Santa Fe didn't have a good start but they were very good in their last game against Estudiantes. In the space of three games, Rosario central has lost by a three goal margin twice and their latest defeat was a 4-1 trashing at the hands of Sarmiento. This is coming just a few weeks after their 3-0 loss away to Lanus. When you look at Rosario central performances in the last three games, an away win or draw makes more sense as the home team have scored just two times in three games; a record inferior to Union de Santa Fe.
[2] Union de Santa Fe has yet to lose a game in the last five meetings against Rosario Central. They have a better head-to-head statistic in that period winning three times while both teams had to settle for a point twice. Rosario Central failed to beat Union de Santa Fe last season and this season it would be more difficult for them to achieve that feat. Union de Santa Fe strengthened their team in January, and with the quality of players Union de Santa Fe bought, I think they would maintain their good run against Rosario Central. So I see an away win or draw as the best option here.
Both teams have a lot to fight for this season but Union de Santa Fe is in better shape and they have done well in the last few games against Rosario Central. An away win or draw is my recommendation in this game.
