Didier Deschamps' team made lightwork of the Netherlands on the first day of their international group games. Up next for the 2022 World Cup finalists is a trip to Northern Ireland. The Blues is looking to make it two wins to maintain their lead at the top in Group B. France should be coasting to a big win against Northern Ireland and I'll be going for a France win by at least two goals. Here's why you should bet on the French side to get a big win;
[1] France has one of the strongest teams in the world and they were very close to retaining their world cup title in Qatar last year. The Blues came second only behind Argentina and they were good enough to take the game to penalties. With a wealth of attacking talent up front, no European team can match the squad depth that France offers and when compared to Northern Ireland, there is a very big difference in the squad quality. France proved too hot to handle for the Netherlands who are even a better side than Northern Ireland, as they thrashed the Dutch team 4-0 in the first group game.
[2] Northern Ireland has faced France twice and they lost both games conceding at least two goals. Stephen Kenny's team is not even in good form to put up a challenge against France. They ranked third in a group of five in the UEFA Nations League and the last time they faced France, they couldn't even score a goal. France beat Northern Ireland with a much weaker squad last time with goals from Nabil Fekir and Olivier Giroud. France can continue their superb run against the Irishmen and I think they can get a very comfortable win on game day two.
France destroyed the Netherlands a few days ago with three goals in the first 45 minutes. That was an even better team and I have no doubts the Blues would beat Northern Ireland by at least a two goal margin. You should bet on France to get another big win in the European Championship qualifiers.
