Chile will play the middle contest of a three-game series in June on Friday evening when they play host to Dominican Republic at Estadio Sausalito in Vina del Mar.
La Roja were in action five days ago, scoring three unanswered goals in a one-way street against another CONCACAF side Cuba.
Dominican Republic do not belong to the top tier list of the CONCACAF outfits and the South Americans should have an even easier job getting a comprehensive victory this time around.
The visitors came third in their respective group in the most recent CONCACAF Nations League (B) tournament.
They had two wins, draws, and losses each in the section with Guatemala, French Guiana, and Belize.
Dominican Republic played a friendly against Cuba (Chile’s latest rival) in November last year, conceding as many as four goals in a 2-4 defeat on the occasion.
Since Cuba had zero attempts on target five days ago against Chile, we can hardly see Dominican Republic doing much to stay competitive in this matchup.
We have to particularly praise Norwich City’s midfielder Marcelino Nunez who bagged a brace on Friday night against Cuba.
It was the second straight game in which Chile notched three goals, following a 3-2 victory in an exhibition against Paraguay in March this year.
