Fiorentina host Lecce in the second round of the new Serie A campaign on Sunday afternoon at Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Both teams were successful in their season openers and it will be very interesting to see which of them will be able to back up the last weekend’s result and stay on winning track after this Sunday.
Fiorentina pulled off an amazing first-half showing eight days ago in Genova, bagging three unanswered goals in what ended as a 1-4 victory for I Viola after teams snatched a goal each in the second half.
The good news for head coach Vincenzo Italiano is that his team had four distinct goal scorers on the occasion. The defensive line also did a solid job, keeping things quiet in front of their goal throughout most of the contest.
Lecce, on the other side, grabbed a huge three-pointer thanks to a super-later comeback in the home clash against Lazio last time out.
Pontus Almqvist and Federico Di Francesco notched two goals in quick succession inside the final ten minutes of the affair played last Sunday at Stadio Comunale Via del Mare.
