Torino will be hoping to pick up their maiden win of the season on Sunday afternoon as they play host to Genoa in Matchday No 3.

Il Toro collected just one point from the opening two outings of the new campaign and they will enter this tie off the back of a tough 4-1 defeat at AC Milan.

Head coach Ivan Juric can certainly be worried regarding his team’s defensive showing at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, especially since we know how tough to break down Torino have been in the previous term of Serie A.

Since Il Toro kept their net untouched in a goalless draw to Cagliari on the opening day and since they will certainly be very motivated to make amends for the tough defeat in Milano, we fancy their chances of keeping things quiet at the back here against Genoa.

Genoa go into this encouraged with a big 0-1 win in the capital last weekend as they dispatched Lazio 0-1 at Stadio Olimpico with a goal from Mateo Retegui.

The visitors thus successfully responded after an unpleasant 1-4 defeat to Fiorentina on the opening day.

We expect them to sit tight at the back once again and hope the rock-solid defensive line can get them another big result on Sunday.

Torino vs Genoa Head-to-head

• Genoa have a dreadful record in Turin where they lost 12, drew 8, and won just 1 of the previous 21 affairs against Torino.

This should be a very similar game to the one Torino played on the opening day against Cagliari (a goalless draw). Genoa will come into it encouraged after keeping Lazio at bay last weekend.
