Angola are looking to reach the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in their history but could find it tough against a solid Nigeria outfit.
This is the first time the underdogs have progressed beyond the group stage since 2010 and they face an uphill battle against a Nigeria squad boasting the likes of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka and Samuel Chukwueze.
Super Eagles flying high
The Super Eagles have won three and drawn one of their Africa Cup of Nations games so far, beating decent opponents in Cameroon and hosts Ivory Coast.
They have kept a clean sheet in each of their three victories and two of them have ended 1-0. Angola have looked good so far, but there is a significant quality differential between the two teams and Angola’s run to this stage has been more forgiving than their opponents, so I expect Nigeria to come out on top in a 1-0 victory.
