Southampton are unbeaten in 23 matches in all competitions
The last two meetings between the two clubs have ended in a draw
Watford are unbeaten in seven games away from home
Tough to split Championship pair
Southampton and Watford will meet for the third time this season on Tuesday as they fight it out for a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The first two meetings ended in 1-1 draws earlier this season, and the signs suggest we will have another stalemate at St Mary’s.
Russell Martin’s Southampton extended their unbeaten run to 23 matches on Saturday with a 2-0 home win over Rotherham United, but they face a Hornets side that have not tasted defeat in seven away games.
Watford have failed to score in one of their last seven on the road, and although that came against Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, they should be able to find a way past a weaker Saints side whose primary focus is on automatic promotion.
While Southampton have won six of their last seven at home without conceding, they face a Watford team who they have struggled to overcome on two occasions this season and this tie should be settled after 90 minutes.
