Cologne struggling again
Cologne battled against relegation for large parts of last season and they have suffered the same fate again this time around, sitting in 16th after 21 games. The home team have been in better form recently however, going unbeaten in their last three games and beating Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 earlier this month.
They drew with Hoffenheim last time out and will be looking to pick up more victories as they aim to pull away from trouble. They face Werder Bremen, who have been in rock solid form in 2024, in this clash.
The visitors had won three and drawn one of their matches this year before a surprise 2-1 defeat at home to Heidenheim on Saturday and will be looking to regain the winning thread that saw them beat Bayern Munich last month.
