Bayern next face an opponent that has become their kryptonite of late with Leipzig lording it over the Bavarians in their last two Munich matchups. Red Bulls will relish a chance to keep Bayern down
The Red Bulls are fifth in the standings going into this weekend and their record is much stronger at home, but this is a game which they will relish given Bayern’s predicament.
Leipzig can take further encouragement from the fact that they pushed Bayer Leverkusen hard a couple of weeks before Xabi Alonso’s side inflicted the defeat that has possibly done irreparable damage to the champions’ inner belief.
This looks like an opportune time to oppose Bayern again and take the visitors to come away with a win or draw, as they have done on each of the last four times they have met.
