Swansea are favourites for a home derby win over bitter rivals Cardiff, but they head into the game off the back of a shaky run. The Swans have won only three of their previous 12 matches and they were beaten 1-0 at Bristol City on Sunday.
The home side come into this clash having lost four of their last five games at the Swansea.com stadium. Their home form all season has been dreadful, with only Rotherham and QPR picking up fewer home points than Swansea’s return of 20 from 18 games.
That presents a perfect opportunity to Cardiff, who head into this contest having won four games on the spin. A victory over Ipswich Town last weekend pushed them within five points of the playoffs, so the Bluebirds have plenty to play for.
The visitors won the previous meeting between the pair and they have a solid away record behind them. While they’ve suffered seven defeats at the hands of the top nine, outside of that Cardiff have won seven of their 10 trips. With Swansea looking shaky, the visitors are a great price for a fifth win on the spin.
