The Finnish Premier league starts today, and all matches can be found via different IPTV channels as Finnish pay channel Ruutu will show all matches. It could be fun to watch, and the kick-off times are rather decent, especially over the weekends.
Here are my estimations for the full first round of Finnish Veikkausliiga. It is wintery and wet at some places, and goals may be hard to find.
Home Away 1 x 2
Haka VPS 37 31 32
MIFK EIF 60 24 16
Ilves Lahti 56 25 21
SJK AC Oulu 58 22 20
KuPS HJK 30 30 40
Gnistan Inter 22 25 53
In short, all the estimations are made on raw data, based on team performances in the start of the season, and the latest new signings. However, it has to be noted that some of the new players have not yet been seen by anyone properly, and their class has to be more or less guessed from their cv and transfer value. Then it is another case completely how well they adjust into the new, and the coach has a big part in this. There are new coaches also in most of the teams compared to last season, again, at least the foreign ones are hard to predict so all in all I would keep my stakes low for the first few rounds.
Below also the player budgets, HJK the clearly biggest as usual.
HJK | 2,2 million euros
KuPS | 1,0
FC Inter | 0,895
Ilves | 0,875
SJK | 0,84
AC Oulu | 0,75
VPS | 0,67
FC Haka | 0,65
FC Lahti | 0,65
Gnistan | 0,65
IFK Mariehamn | 0,478
Ekenäs IF | 0,467
More to come on the next round when we know a lot more!
