Just two positions separate these nations in the FIFA World Rankings
Seven of Iceland’s last ten home games have featured under 2.5 goals
Under 2.5 goals has landed in six of Montenegro’s last ten away games.
Goals in short supply in Reykjavik
Neutrals are expected to be left disappointed in the Icelandic capital this Friday as two goalshy teams lock horns in Reykjavik.
Both these nations have a reputation for providing tough tests to the top teams, with Iceland in particular frustrating England among others over the last few years.
However, neither side tend to find the net very often, with Iceland’s 4-0 demolition against lowly Liechtenstein in their last home game being very much an anomaly.
While a tight match is expected, Iceland are the more likely of the two to emerge victorious. They beat England 1-0 fairly recently and they look the better value of the two to win a low-scoring matchup.
