Belgium won just one match at the European Championships
Israel have never beaten Belgium from four meetings
The last head-to-head came in 2015, with the Red Devils winning 3-1
Red Devils can get off to winning Nations League start
After failing to set the continent alight in the European Championships this summer, Belgium have a point to prove in the Nations League and they can get their first three points on the board when they face Israel on Friday.
Domenico Tedesco’s side exited the Euros at the round of 16 to France and failed to beat the likes of Slovakia (1-0 loss) and Ukraine (0-0) in the group stages, picking up just four points.
Israel finished top of Group 2 in League B last time around to reach the top tier of the competition and are largely tipped to finish bottom with France and Italy also in their group.
The Sky Blue and Whites have also lost three of their last five internationals and so form is not on their side heading into this encounter.Israel have lost all four of their previous meetings with Belgium and their 3-1 loss in 2015 was the first time that they managed to score in any of these.
The Red Devils will be expected to keep them at bay on Friday and, with four goals scored across their last two meetings, they should be able to grab a brace and so a 2-0 finals score is a tempting correct score option.
