Almeria to edge out hosts
After winning their opener, Eldense have struggled in their following two matches. A 0-0 with Sporting Gijon and a 2-1 home defeat to Cartagena have sent them into Sunday’s clash with Almeria on the back foot.
The visitors are unbeaten through three games following relegation from La Liga at the end of last term. They’ve drawn with Racing Santander and Sporting Gijon, picking up a victory at Tenerife.
The pair look evenly matched heading into this one, but the visitors are expected to push for a quick return to La Liga. That should see them prove too strong for Eldense this weekend, given that the hosts lost four of their home meetings with the top six last season.
Eldense finished 16th last season, losing 16 of their 42 matches. They’ve been beaten in five of their last seven home league games, so Almeria look a decent price to secure all three points having won their last away trip.
