Georgia have lost just one of their last four games
The last meeting between the two ended in a goalless draw in Tirana in 2022
Crusaders can edge close battle in Tirana
Georgia were Europe’s favourite underdogs at the European Championships, bowing out in their maiden major tournament at the round of 16 stage, and Willy Sagnol’s men can continue their strong form with victory over Albania in Tirana on Tuesday.
The Crusaders started their Nations League campaign with an emphatic 4-1 win over the Czech Republic – a side they drew 1-1 with in the group stages of Euro 2024 – and have now lost just two of their last eight internationals.
Albania finished bottom of their group in Germany this summer – behind Spain, Italy and Croatia – but they started their Nations League season in bright fashion with a 2-1 comeback victory against Ukraine, putting an end to their three match winless run.
Each of the last six head-to-heads between these two sides have been separated by no more than one goal and another tight affair should be expected. However, the visitors will feel confident of taking all three points after recent impressive performances against the Czech Republic and Portugal and they could edge this battle, with a 1-0 final score looking tempting prospect.
