Fortunes have changed for Leeds and Burnley
Leeds look likely to take another three points when they return to Championship action at home to Burnley on Saturday lunchtime. A fortnight ago, many would have fancied the Clarets to bag the win but the fortunes of the two clubs appear to have shifted in the final week of the transfer window.
Leeds invested some of the money they received from Premier League clubs for their attacking stars from last season and brought Largie Ramazani and Manor Solomon in as replacements.
Burnley, meanwhile, have lost three of the players who started their 4-1 win at Luton that opened their campaign in style – Vitinho, Dara O’Shea and Wilson Odobert.
Additionally, Scott Parker looks set to be without defenders Maxime Esteve and Jordan Beyer through injury, which hands the initiative back to the Whites.
Hosts have the form to churn out a win
Leeds’ home form in this division is excellent and they should get the job done even if they will miss Wales winger Dan James, who is injured.
Backing the hosts to win to nil might be a consideration given Daniel Farke’s side have won each of their last two league games 2-0, but there was enough going on for Hull to get a goal at Elland Road last month and Portsmouth bagged three there on the opening weekend of the season.
So backing Leeds to win with both teams finding the back of the net might be a better alternative and with Jaidon Anthony in decent form as he returns to his former loan club, a Clarets goal should be possible.
