Stoke recently parted ways with manager Steven Schumacher
Hull are yet to win a match in any competition this season
The Tigers came out on top in this fixture last season, winning 3-1
Potters can get the better of toothless Tigers
Stoke City will play their first Championship fixture without Steven Schumacher in the dugout on Friday but the recent managerial turmoil may not affect the Potters too much when they host out-of-form Hull City.
The Potters have lost just one of their last four matches in all competitions – two of which coming in the Carabao Cup – and they managed to overcome lower-league Fleetwood Town in a penalty shootout in midweek.
Hull have struggled to adapt to life under new manager Tim Walter, with the Tigers still yet to register their first victory under the former Hamburg boss, and the visitors are currently on a run of two consecutive defeats in the Championship – suffering 2-0 losses to both Leeds and Sheffield United.
Matches involving either side this season have rarely produced goals at both ends and so the first goalscorer could go on to claim all three points on Friday. With form on the side of Stoke, a home victory looks a decent bet and our prediction is a 1-0 win for the Potters.
