Anderlecht’s defensive structure should prevent Ferencvaros from pulling off a Europa League shock at Lotto Park on Wednesday night. The Mauves have not quite found their attacking rhythm this season, but they are very hard to score against right now.
Head coach Brian Riemer was sacked after overseeing only one win in Anderlecht’s first seven games of the campaign with David Hubert handed the reins in a caretaker capacity last weekend.
There was no visible improvement in Anderlecht’s 0-0 home draw against Sporting Charleroi on Saturday with the hosts’ expected goals at half-time being just 0.02.

They also kept it relatively tight in both legs of their Champions League qualifier against Midtjylland recently, losing 2-0 in Herning and gaining a 1-1 draw back home in Hungary.
This game will probably be short on scoring chances and goals with Under 2.5 an obvious play. It may be worth taking a chance on Ferencvaros, who drew 0-0 away at Racing Genk and 2-2 at Fiorentina in last season’s Conference League taking a point.
A combination of the two bets looks like a good option with both teams to score and Under 2.5 goals covering the prospects of this clash finishing 0-0 or 1-1.
