Celta Vigo have lost three of their last four matches in La Liga
Atletico Madrid are unbeaten in all competitions this season
The visitors came away with all three points in a 3-0 victory last season
Colchoneros can continue unbeaten start with victory
It’s a battle between one of La Liga’s most potent attacks against one of its sternest defences on Thursday night as Celta Vigo host Atletico Madrid.
Only Barcelona (22) have netted more league goals than Celta Vigo (14) this season, however their leaky backline has cost them places higher in the table, with Los Celestes suffering high-scoring defeats to Villarreal (4-3), Osasuna (3-2) and Athletic Bilbao (3-1) already this season).
Meanwhile, no side has conceded fewer goals in the Spanish top flight that Diego Simeone’s Atletico this season and the Colchoneros have kept clean sheets in three of their last four La Liga fixtures.
However, their resolve was broken against Rayo Vallecano last time out which means that Atleti are on a run of two games without a shutout in all competitions. This could open the door for the hosts to get on the scoresheet but the porosity of their defence should allow the visitors to respond and to take home the points, with a 2-1 final score looking an appealing prospect.
Predictions:Atletico Madrid to Win Atletico Madrid 2-1
