Saint-Etienne have conceded 13 goals away from home in Ligue 1
The sides played out a 1-1 draw in their last meeting back in 2022
Canaries to make light work of Les Verts
Nantes have started the new Ligue 1 campaign in bright fashion and Antoine Kombouare’s men can keep in touch with the top four with victory over a Saint-Etienne side that have been on the receiving end of hidings in recent weeks.
The Canaries find themselves in fifth place in the standings after five games and bounced back from defeat in their last home match (2-1 against Reims) with a battling 1-1 draw at Angers last time out.
Les Verts meanwhile have had a torrid time of things this season – with four defeats from their opening five matches – but their away form has been particularly abysmal, losing all three matches by a combined score of 13-0.
Eight of these goals came in their last match in a demoralising defeat in Nice and another loss looks likely on Sunday. With just one goal scored all season, the visitors are unlikely to trouble the hosts and their defensive porosity could allow plenty of joy for the Canaries, with a 3-0 win drawing some appeal.
