Chelsea have been in red hot form, winning their last four and scoring at least three in three of them. The squad depth is proving to be a positive, and we will no doubt see quite a few changes in the team when they play Gent. They were able to change their whole line up when they played Barrow, and still had a wealth of talent on the pitch, including the likes of  Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto and Joao Felix. They will most likely vs Gent, having not started vs Brighton on the weekend. Having the opportunity to rest players and essentially having a separate XI for cup competitions which is nearly as strong as the first team, is a huge benefit for Chelsea, and will help them go deep in this tournament. They’ll be expected to get off to a hot start here, and they should win in style, therefore I recommend a bet on them to win and over 2.5 goals in the match.

As we saw against Brighton, they do have a mistake in them at the back, and don’t have a great defensive record. Gent don’t have an issue scoring wherever they play and will take their chances when it’s presented to them. Backing Chelsea to win 3-1 looks a good correct score bet.
