Georgia suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Ukraine in Poznan on Friday but the visit of Albania on Monday provides a chance for an immediate response.
Ordinarily, a defeat to Ukraine as the away side wouldn’t be viewed as a particularly bad result for Georgia but that loss saw their perfect start in the Nations League come to an end and on the balance of play they perhaps deserved a point.
In contrast, Albania offered very little in their own 2-0 loss to the Czech Republic in Prague and have now lost back-to-back games without scoring.
Sylvinho’s side have just one win in their last six going back further, and that run includes a 1-0 loss to Georgia in the reverse fixture.
A repeat 1-0 win for Georgia is the correct score pick due to Albania’s struggles in front of goal, although they have remained solid defensively and prior to their 2-0 loss on Friday each of their five previous defeats had come via one-goal margins.
