Georgia have lost just two of their last 15 home matches
Both teams have scored in four of Ukraine’s last six games
Georgia have conceded in seven of their last nine matches
Tight battle for promotion ensuing
There are two rounds of Nations League games left in Group B and all four teams have the opportunity to claim promotion or be suffer relegation as they are all within three points of each other.
Ukraine are bottom, but they have recovered from losing their opening two matches by beating Georgia last month and then earning a draw with the Czech Republic to give themselves a chance.
For Georgia, things have gone in the opposite direction with two wins followed by a pair of 1-0 losses – they fell 1-0 at home to Albania last time – so there is plenty to play for.
Rivals could prove difficult to split
There is likely to be little to choose between these two teams and while Georgia’s decent home record deserves respect, Ukraine are capable of making their mark.
The desire will be there on the part of both teams to gain a positive result but while they could both find the net, they may not be separated, so a 1-1 draw may be of interest to correct-score enthusiasts.
