Fiorentina can extend their six-game winning streak in Serie A when they travel to Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia to face struggling Como on Sunday. La Viola have been in scintillating attacking form, scoring twice or more in eight of their last nine matches across all competitions.
But the foundation for their recent success has been their defence with Raffaele Palladino’s men recording five shutouts in their last 10 and four clean sheets in a row away from home in Serie A.
It would be no surprise to see them beat Como quite easily. The promoted club have been leaking goals at an alarming rate with their 23 goals conceded now the second-worst defensive record in the league.
Moise making noise for Fiorentina
The hosts have lost four of their last six matches, failing to score in two 1-0 losses at Torino and Empoli. Backing Fiorentina to win to nil makes sense given the expected goals (xG) of their last four away opponents reads 0.4, 0.2, 0.9 and 0.6.
Fiorentina striker Moise Kean has been in excellent form, netting a hat-trick in their last game against Hellas Verona, and he looks the standout candidate in anytime goalscorer betting.
The Italian international forward has been consistently threatening, averaging a shot on target every 32 minutes across his last four Fiorentina appearances and scoring six in total across his last three Serie A starts. Expect him to find the net once again against Como’s porous defence.
