Barcelona are yet to drop a point at home this season
Brest are unbeaten in the Champions League
This is the first competitive meeting between the two sides
Brilliant Barca to run rampant against Brest
Barcelona have been a force to be reckoned both domestically and in Europe this season and the Blaugrana will be expected to make home advantage count when they take on a Brest side that has suffered a slump in form recently.
Hansi Flick’s men are the league leaders and top scorers in La Liga this season, while their record in front of their home fans has been perfect with seven wins from seven games across all competitions.
On the other hand Brest have been largely disappointing in Ligue 1 after the heights of last season, with Eric Roy’s men lying closer to the bottom three than the top four, however they have showed up in Europe this season with three wins and a draw from their opening four games.
That being said, they have faced mostly favourable opponents – the 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen being the only timed they have faced an opponent from a “Big 5” league – and they could struggle against one of the continents elite.
Barca have scored at least four goals in both of their two home Champions League matches – including against German giants Bayern Munich in a 4-1 victory – and they could replicate this feat once again, with our prediction being a 4-0 victory.
