Real Sociedad have registered some terrific results on home soil of late, beating Ajax 2-0 in the Europa League in midweek, having also recently won 1-0 against Barcelona.
The frustrating thing for Imanol Alguacil and his side has been their inability to put a run of results together, with the latter of those fixtures followed (in the league) by a 1-0 defeat at Athletic Bilbao.
They have, though, lost just twice in their last eight La Liga fixtures, winning four times, and are on a run of three victories across their last four outings in all competitions.
Betis under pressure for results
That is ominous for visitors Real Betis, whose away form has been miserable this year, winning just once in seven attempts in the top flight.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side were beaten 4-2 by Valencia in their last match on the road, and that was followed by a shock 2-1 reversal to Czech side Mladá Boleslav in Europe in midweek.
As such, the Green and Whites have lost back-to-back games for only the second time since March, while their overall record on the road this season reads five defeats from 11 attempts in all competitions.
I predict that Real Sociedad will win this game, with 2-1 my correct score prediction.
