Whites can bounce back with comfortable victory
Leeds lost ground on Championship leaders Sheffield United last Saturday as they were beaten 1-0 by Blackburn but the Whites should be able to respond in style when they host a Derby County side that has largely struggled away from Pride Park this season.
Daniel Farke’s men have won seven of their nine league matches at Elland Road this season – losing one – while only Norwich City (25) have netted more home goals in the Championship than the Whites (20).
The Rams on the other hand are on a run of four games without a win – losing each of their last two matches 2-1 at home to Swansea City and Sheffield Wednesday – while only five teams in the division are averaging fewer shots per 90 minutes in the Championships than Paul Warne’s side (11).
Derby may find it difficult to create many chances against a Leeds side that has kept five clean sheets across their last six home league games. The Whites have scored at least twice in each of these and they will feel confident in replicating this feat, with our prediction being a 2-0 victory for the hosts.
