Bayern Munich have been in a strong run of form in all competitions in recent weeks and the Bavarians will be expected to win their third consecutive Champions League fixture when they visit Shakthar, who are playing their home European fixtures at the home ground of Germany’s fallen giants Schalke.
Vincent Kompany’s men have won eight of their last 10 matches across league, cup and continental obligations – with the only blemishes on their impressive run of form being a 1-1 draw at bitter rivals Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga and a 1-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal.
Shakhtar meanwhile have won just one of their five Champions League matches this season and are two points off of the knockout play-off qualification places.
Bayern have struggled on the road in Europe this season however their two defeats have come against strong opposition in the form of Barcelona and Aston Villa. Against the Ukrainian’s, they will be expected to show their talents and and they could run away with proceedings, with our prediction being a 3-0 away win.
