Vitoria Guimaraes will head into this clash knowing a draw would guarantee a top-eight finish in the Conference League, while a win could see them top the league phase standings outright.
The Portuguese outfit have certainly impressed in Europe this season, as they are unbeaten in their 11 matches in the Conference League (including qualifying), winning 10 of those games and scoring an eye-watering 29 goals.
However, Vitoria are without a clean-sheet in the league phase so it should be no surprise that four of their five matches in the competition proper have gone over the 2.5 goal mark.
Viola aiming to bounce back
Fiorentina sit a point and place behind Vitoria in the standings and they have scored 17 goals in their five league phase matches – only leaders Chelsea have netted more.
Seven of those strikes came in their 7-0 demolition of LASK in their most recent European fixture and each of the Viola’s last four European games have featured at least three goals.
The Italians did see their eight-match winning run in Serie A ended by Bologna last time out and they will be keen to bounce back in what should be an open and even game against Vitoria, with a high-scoring 2-2 draw offering plenty of appeal.
