Goals may prove hard to come by when Shrewsbury host Northampton in League One on Sunday as six of the last seven meetings between the two sides have produced under 2.5 goals.
Northampton are three places above Shrewsbury in 20th having played one game more, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Northampton have five wins and 11 defeats from their 22 games while Shrewsbury have four wins and 14 losses.
Shrewsbury beat Lincoln 1-0 on Thursday in their last League One home game but have lost five of their last seven at home. Northampton, meanwhile, are finding it hard to put opponents away, having won just one of their last ten league matches.
It could therefore be hard to separate the two sides and 1-1 draw looks like a decent correct-score bet.
