They have taken 22 points from a possible 30 in front of their own fans and have scored 27 goals in this period, while their visitors have been torrid on the road recently.
Pep Guardiola’s side have begun something of a resurgence with three straight victories, but these came against Leicester, West Ham, and Salford City, and only their 2-0 win against the Foxes was away from home.
Prior to victory at the King Power Stadium they had drawn one and lost seven of their previous eight competitive away games, leaving them sixth in the table and 12 points adrift of the top spot they are most accustomed to occupying.
