Lazio ready to make it three in a row
Lazio certainly had a wobble after Christmas, but they will hope they are getting back to their best after wins over Verona (3-0) and Real Sociedad (3-1), the latter of which was in Europe.
Marco Baroni’s side now sit in fourth place in Serie A, a position helped by their excellent home form, where they have won six times in ten outings, losing just once.
Indeed, it is now one defeat in 21 outings in all competitions at home for the Stadio Olimpico side, a run dating back to March last year which also includes 15 victories.
Fiorentina in a bad way
That will worry visitors Fiorentina, who are sinking down the table after a run of seven games without success across all competitions.
The most recent of those was a 1-1 draw against Torino last weeknd, which did at least host a run of successive defeats.
However, the fact one of those reversal was against Monza is a real worry, as is the fact Viola are now winless in four on the road for the first time since March 2024.
I predict that Lazio will win this game, with 2-1 to the hosts my correct score prediction.
