Extra time could be required
Liverpool haven’t been putting teams to the sword at Anfield despite their winning run so a 2-1 win for the hosts is my correct score prediction.
The Reds have scored at least twice in each of their last 15 home fixtures and exactly twice in nine of those games, so they may need additional time to book a place in next month’s final.
Cody Gakpo is in excellent form for Liverpool with six goals in his last nine games and he looks a strong contender for an anytime goal in the second leg of this EFL Cup semi-final tie.
