Dundee, Dundee United and St Johnstone have all left Paisley with the points recently and St Mirren have failed to score in six of their 13 home domestic games this season, including the last two.
Hearts can ease through to the next round
St Mirren have been quite resolute on their own patch, conceding more than once in just one of their last ten home games, but hearts have been rampant on the road.
The Jambos were 4-1 winners over Brechin in the last round of the Scottish Cup and then fired six without reply at Dundee last week.
