Getafe can add to Girona’s woes
Getafe have hit some form in La Liga and they look capable of pulling off a shock by winning at Girona on Friday.
Geta are on a five-game unbeaten run in the league, winning three of those games, and they’ve faced some stern tests during that period – winning at Real Sociedad and drawing with Barcelona.
In contrast, Girona’s season is starting to unravel as they have five defeats in their last six games across all competitions and three in their last four in La Liga. Home form has been key for the Catalan club over the last few seasons but they have four defeats in their last six at this venue and as Geta have won their last three away La Liga games they look excellent value to make it four in a row against their out of sorts hosts.
A 2-0 win looks a reasonable correct score play due to Geta’s recent defensive resolve, while Girona have gone six games without a clean sheet and they’ve conceded at least twice in four of those games.
Mauro Arambarri stands out for an anytime goal as the Uruguayan is in decent form with two goals in his last three games. Arambarri is Getafe’s top scorer in La Liga with six goals and he can add to his account at Girona.
