Napoli can benefit from home comforts
Napoli have lost pace in the Serie A title race since the start of February but they can give their Scudetto prospects a boost with victory over Milan on Sunday.
Since the beginning of last month, Napoli have recorded just one win in seven matches, dropping points against the likes of Venezia and Como as part of that run.
But they also had some tough contests against resurgent Roma, Lazio and title rivals Inter and they put three points on the board in their last home contest against Fiorentina, winning 2-1.
Indeed, they have collected 32 points on home soil this season and only Inter (33) have picked up more from the same number of matches.
Inconsistent Milan could be distracted
Visitors Milan, meanwhile, have won only six times on their travels in the league and, while they have defeated lesser lights Lecce and Como in their last two matches, they were on a three-game losing sequence beforehand.
Sergio Conceicao was drafted in to replace Paulo Fonseca in December but Milan have still struggled and they are locked in mid-table obscurity.
The European places are still within reach but they may have one eye on Wednesday’s Coppa Italai clash with rivals Inter going into this game and Napoli are the bet to win.
As for a correct score, Milan have lost 2-1 three times in their last five matches and that looks an appropriate pick with this contest likely to be close.
