Pompey can claim key win
Portsmouth are the bet at home to Blackburn on Saturday. The visitors have lost their last three Championship away games and John Mousinho’s side should be backed to get the win at Fratton Park.
Blackburn are eight places above Portsmouth in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they have won this season. Ninth-placed Blackburn have 15 wins and 16 losses, while improving Portsmouth have won 11 and lost 18.
Rovers’ 2-1 defeat by Cardiff two weeks ago was their fourth loss in five Championship games and will have frustrated them, having been priced at 11/10 to win. Blackburn didn’t create many chances against an out-of-form Cardiff side who had been on a run of three straight defeats.
Portsmouth have enjoyed success in three of their last four home games in the Championship and will be confident of getting a result.
The visitors have looked vulnerable in defence. Blackburn have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three Championship away games and in 15 of their last 18 matches overall.
Blackburn have lost seven of their last nine away games in the Championship, and John Mousinho’s side can edge this one 1-0, with the visitors having lost their last three on the road by a single goal.
