Fourth-placed Charlton are two places above Huddersfield in the table, with the two sides separated by five points. Charlton have won 19 of their 38 games this season, while Huddersfield have 18 wins.
Charlton come into this game in good form, having won five of their last seven League One matches. While Huddersfield are also on a string of positive results, this will be a tougher test for them than recent games.
This will be a tougher test for the visitors, who faced the likes of Crawley and Bristol Rovers – two of the bottom five – recently, taking three points from those games.
Charlton have been impressive defensively at home this season, conceding just 12 goals in 19 League One games – an average of 0.63 goals per game. They have kept their opponents at bay in six of their last eight on home soil, while Huddersfield have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three away games.
Charlton should get a goal here. They have scored an average of 1.50 goals a game in their four League One home games against other teams in the top six this season.
