Seasiders to boost play-off hopes
Blackpool should be backed to get a home win over Bolton on Saturday. Steve Bruce will be keen to make the most of this game at Bloomfield Road and the visitors look shaky in their quest to grab a play-off spot.
Bolton are three places above Blackpool in the table, with the two sides separated by six points. Seventh-placed Bolton have won 18 of their 37 games this season, while Blackpool have 13 wins.
Blackpool beat Northampton 2-0 last weekend to bring their hosts’ four-game unbeaten run to an end and secure their third win in four League One games. Blackpool, who were priced as 13/10 favourites, triumphed with something to spare.
Bolton’s recent form has been inconsistent, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six games. They beat Birmingham 3-1 at odds of 11/4, but also lost to Stockport and Bristol Rovers.
It would be no surprise to see Blackpool score, with the hosts having found the net at least twice in three of their last four League One games. They have also notched in four consecutive matches, including a 3-0 win over Barnsley three weeks ago.
A 2-0 win for Blackpool looks the best correct-score bet. They were 2-0 winners against Northampton in their last League One game, and five of Bolton’s 13 defeats this season have been by a two-goal margin.
