Villarreal are the bet to beat Real Sociedad at home in the Primera Liga on Sunday.
They are in fifth place, ten places and ten points above Real Sociedad, with 14 wins, nine draws and seven losses from their 30 games. The visitors are ninth with 12 wins, five draws and 14 defeats.
The hosts have been fairly prolific in attack this season, scoring two goals or more in 16 of their 30 league games. They have averaged 1.33 goals a game in their 15 Primera Liga matches against other top-half teams.
The visitors have looked vulnerable at the back. Real Sociedad have failed to keep a clean sheet in 12 of their last 14 league games and have conceded on each of their last seven away trips.
A narrow 1-0 win for Villarreal looks the most likely outcome. Nine of their 14 league victories this season have come by a single goal and at least one of the sides has blanked in four of the last five meetings between these two.
