Saturday’s League One clash between Lincoln and Wrexham at Sincil Bank has the makings of a tight encounter. Under 2.5 goals is the bet with nothing riding on the outcome.
Lincoln are unbeaten in their last six League One games at home, including a 4-2 victory over Bolton last week, but promoted Wrexham are in form too, aiming for a third straight success and have gone unbeaten on nine of their last ten road trips.
Both teams have good defences. Lincoln kept a clean sheet two weeks ago against seventh-placed Reading, when they won 1-0, and Wrexham have been impressive defensively this season conceding just 34 goals in League One – an average of 0.76 goals per game from 45 games.
Wrexham can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. Wrexham were 1-0 winners against Lincoln last time they met in League One and 12 of Lincoln’s 16 reverses this season have been by a single goal.
