Both teams have scored in four of Cordoba’s last five home league games
Both teams have scored in three of Mirandes’ last five road trips
Joaquin Panichelli has scored 20 league goals this season, including four in Mirades’ last five away games
Mirandes are no mirage in promotion race
Mirandes’ unlikely dream of rubbing shoulders with Spanish football’s big boys could move a step closer if they return to Burgos from Cordoba with at least a point on Monday. The team tipped to struggle at the start of the campaign when they didn’t have enough players for pre-season friendlies or the new jersey presentation is one point off the top two with three games to go.
Alessio Lisci’s side have won their last three games and could even overhaul leaders Elche if things go to plan with their final match of the campaign away to bottom club Cartagena.
However, Mirandes have won only one of their last five away games and won’t find things easy against a Cordoba side that have been fighting for the playoffs in their first season after returning from the Primera Federacion.
Panichelli looks like a potent force
The Arcangel has been a stronghold since the start of March with only one defeat there in their last six matches, although three of those games were drawn. Cordoba will be wary of the threat posed by Mirades’ strike partnership – Joaquin Panichelli and Urko Izeta.
Panichelli has been the more potent force, bagging 20 goals in 37 games on loan from Alaves and four in Mirades’ last five away games. The visitors’ defence is not used to keeping clean sheets on the road, however, with both teams to score looking like a solid play at around 4/5.
