Philadelphia poised for another goalfest
Nobody can lay a glove on Philadelphia Union in the MLS. Their 33 points is more than any other side ahead of the weekend and the Eastern Conference leaders are on an eight-match unbeaten run in the league, winning six times in that run.
Key to their success has been their ability to find the net, scoring an average of two goals per game. The MLS’ second-highest scorers have netted 19 across their last eight matches and will look to go on the front foot once again in Texas.
Given their free-scoring nature, it is no surprise that seven of their last eight matches have featured at least three goals and another thriller could be on the cards when they head to Dallas on Sunday.
Bulls bound to play their part in a thriller
The hosts, who are a mediocre 11th in the Western Conference, are no strangers to a goalfest themselves, though, with five of their last eight in all competitions going over 2.5 goals and a total of 31 strikes being netted in that run.
Dallas are yet to keep a home clean sheet this term, with that unlikely to change when the Eastern Conference leaders visit, but the Bulls did put four past Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami in April and can play their part on Sunday.
Philly’s last outing saw them win 2-1 on their travels and a repeat scoreline could be the best pick for a correct-score bet.
